The Manchester Utilities Authority’s primary goal is to supply adequate quantities of quality water to its customers in a cost effective and fiscally responsible manner.
Manchester Utilities Authority (MUA) serves Haledon as well as portions of North Haledon and smaller portions of neighboring towns in Passaic and Bergen counties. Water sold to customers is purchased from Passaic Valley Water Commission.

NOTICE TO RESIDENTS OF HALEDON AND NORTH HALEDON
Beginning October 28th, 2019, the Manchester Utilities Authority (“MUA”) will begin the process of exercising its valves, and obtaining the Global Positioning System (GPS) coordinates for its valves and hydrants. New Jersey State law mandates this work, but it will also provide important information, particularly during emergencies.
Garcia Construction will be performing the work. No road closures are expected, however, traffic may be temporarily affected as this program is a system wide project. The project is expected to continue into 2020.
